Impound Information
To redeem the vehicle, the registered owner will need to present the following:
AFTER 30 DAYS FROM THE IMPOUND DATE, VEHICLE WILL FORECLOSE AND YOU WILL LOSE THE RIGHT TO CLAIM IT.
We want you to get your vehicle back. Contact Shaun’s Towing & Recovery immediately at 970-987-0562 to arrange to claim your impounded vehicle.
- Show us you own it.
- Show us it is legal to drive.
- Pay your bill.
- Take it home.

Out of State Owners
If you are an out of state owner and wish to release your vehicle to someone else who is here in Colorado, you will need to print and email us a notarized Absentee Authorization and Hold Harmless Agreement (download this form in Adobe PDF format below). Please follow the instructions on this form, as we must have this to comply with Colorado State Law. Failure to complete the form or to have it notarized will result in denial of the release.
- Proof of Ownership (Title, or Registration printed in the last 7 days. Any tag agent can help you with this for a nominal fee. An insurance verification is not acceptable as Proof of Ownership.
- Valid Government Issued Photo Identification that matches the name on the ownership document.
- If your tag is expired or missing, you must bring current registration and tag (sticker).
- If the car was impounded for no insurance, bring a valid insurance verification.
- Bring payment for all monies due in cash (Exact change only, we do not provide change)
- We accept cash or credit card with a 4% fee.
